KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Improved the earnings dashboard to show a complete breakdown of all revenue sources, including new market types.
- Simplified the process for adding power meters by removing unnecessary steps and outdated ordering options.
- Enhanced the reliability of system settings to ensure that what is seen in the interface is exactly what is applied to the hardware.
- Updated industry terminology across the platform for better consistency.
NEW & IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY
Complete earnings breakdown
Issue: FLEX-722
Summary:
The earnings display has been updated to provide a more transparent view of site performance. The system now automatically detects and displays all revenue categories provided by the platform, rather than showing only a limited selection.
This update ensures that categories such as "Imbalances" and "Intraday" are now visible in the breakdown. This gives a more accurate representation of total earnings and ensures that no data is hidden from the overview.
BUG FIXES
Simplified Power Meter setup
Issue: FLEX-629
Fix:
The interface for adding a new power meter has been simplified to match the rest of the platform. Previously, users had to navigate through multiple confusing dropdowns to define how a meter was being used.
The system now uses a single, clear list of options—such as "Grid / cluster" or "Charging station"—making it much faster and more intuitive to set up new equipment correctly the first time.
Reliable configuration saving
Issue: FLEX-603
Fix:
A correction has been made to how settings are saved. Previously, some default settings were not always correctly communicated to the system unless they were manually changed by a user. This could occasionally lead to unexpected behaviour where the system used a system default value.
The system now ensures that every setting visible in the UI is explicitly saved and applied. This results in more predictable behaviour and ensures the hardware always operates exactly as shown in the configuration screens.
USER IMPACT
- Better Financial Oversight: Users can now see every component of their earnings, providing a clearer understanding of how different markets contribute to total revenue.
- Faster Equipment Setup: Adding new power meters is now a more straightforward process with fewer steps and clearer choices.
- Increased Confidence in Settings: Improvements to the way configurations are saved mean that the system state is always consistent and reliable.
- Clearer Terminology: The update from "DNO" to "DSO" ensures the platform uses the standard language familiar to grid operators and energy professionals.
