Update the Firmware

When connecting chargers from Alfen via secure websocket (wss) connection, you first need update the firmware to include the HARMON-E root certificate on each charger.

Step 1

Download the firmware file, called isrgrootx1-B 3.fwi, which has the FLEXECHARGE root certificate on it, from the attachments of this article.

Step 2

Update the Firmware on each charger. The process is described here.

Moving forward (exact date needs to be confirmed)

Chargers from Alfen with a production date later than 31.12.2024 should not require an extra firmware update anymore.
