Rejected Smart Charging Profiles
Circontrol has implemented a measure that any charging profile below 6A will be rejected by their DC charging stations. It is meant as a preventive measure since some EV stop charging when offered charge currents between 0A - 6A on a DC charger.
In May 2024, we were were told that this measure will be retracted before the end of 2024 with a new firmware release.
Remedy
Change the default 0 A profile to 7 A profile to ensure profiles are accepted by the chargers.
You can override the default 0 A value for all chargers at once via:
Site -> Site Services Configuration -> Zero Value
Alternatively, you can override the 0 A profile for individual chargers via:
Charging Stations -> Charger -> Advanced Configuration -> Zero Value
Note
This remedy is a work-around feature for the issue of chargers rejected certain profiles. Which consequences should be considered?
- When the load manager attempts to set the limit to 0 A, the load manager will instead set your manually chosen value.
- The load manager is not able to stop charging sessions, only limit them to your manually chosen "0 A profile" (It is unable to do so anyways, as the charger does not accept 0A and instead keeps charging as it likes)
