This article provides technical specifications, installation guidance, and sizing information for the FLEXECHARGE Dynamic Load Management (DLM) Hardware Package.
Dynamic Load Management Hardware Package
Typical installation locations
- GATEWAY & power supply: Central network location, typically in a network cabinet next to the Ethernet switch.
- Antenna: Route the 5 m cable to the best LTE reception point (outside wall, as high as possible). Avoid metal cabinets, indoor locations, or underground rooms.
- Own router scenario: If a customer uses their own router, the antenna is not required. GATEWAY, router, charging stations, and power meter must be connected to the same local network.
- Power meter: DIN-rail mounted in a distribution cabinet close to the measuring point. Rogowski coils are installed directly on the measured power line.
The power meter’s point of measurement can later be configured in HARMON-E, allowing the EMS to correctly interpret the received measurement.
GATEWAY
The GATEWAY is the local controller for Dynamic Load Management with HARMON-E. It collects measurement data, executes local control logic, and communicates with the backend. The GATEWAY continues to operate and enforce grid limits even when cloud connectivity is unavailable.

Antenna (GSM)
The antenna connects to the GATEWAY via the SMA port. Use the 5 m cable to route the antenna to a location with strong LTE reception. If the customer uses their own router, the antenna is not required.

Power Meter
The EEM-MA371 is a multifunctional power meter for low-voltage installations. It measures electrical parameters via Rogowski coils and provides the data to the GATEWAY via Modbus/TCP.

Measurement range & sizing guidance
- The power meter itself does not limit the measurable current.
- The maximum measurable power depends on the selected Rogowski coils.
- With typical 1000 A Rogowski coils, grid connections up to approximately 700 kW can be measured at 400 V.
- Smaller grid connections (e.g. 50 kW) are well within range.
- For grid connections above 1 MW, higher-rated Rogowski coils or an alternative metering solution may be required.
