To measure busbars and power lines, our standard is a super easy to install 50 mm long set of Rogowski Coils. These current transformers are used for AC current measurement in a wide variety of measurement settings. A huge benefit, especially at sites with electrical operations where shutdowns are difficult to schedule, the Rogowski coils offer an installation that does not require power to be turned off.
Install each coil on the respective power supply line
Open the clip of the first coil by untwisting the locking mechanism. Then wrap the coil around the supply of phase 1. Repeat the process for RC2/L2 and RC3/L3.
Final Step:
✅ Confirm that each coil is installed correctly.
❌ Do not measure two phases with one coil.
❌ Do not mix up phase and pins on the power meter (e.g. RC1 on L2)
❌ Do not point the arrows in the opposite direction of current flow.
