This guide will take you through the configuration of the Gateway Connect in a setup where Internet access for the power meter is provided by your own router.

Before you start
- You have set up your router and you have control over its network settings
- You have a laptop with an Ethernet port and a browser (e.g. Google Chrome)

1. Connect your laptop
Connect your laptop directly to the Gateway.
2. Access the Gateway interface
Open a browser on the laptop and enter the IP address 192.168.1.1:3000 in the address field.
3. Log on to the Gateway Connect
Enter admin as username and password. Click LOGIN.
4. Deactivate DHCP Server
Select the Local Network tab on the left side. In the ethernet0 settings, change the Interface type from DHCP Server to Fixed IP.
5. Assign a fixed IP to the Gateway
Decide on a fixed IPv4 IP address for the Gateway, and note it down. The fixed IP must match the IP subnet of your local network.
Click SUBMIT.
6. Reboot the Gateway
Disconnect the power supply and wait for 10 seconds.
7. Connect the Gateway to the local network
Ensure that the local network has access to the internet via your router. Connect the Gateway to the local network via Ethernet cable.
In case the Gateway does not connect automatically, check your network settings again.

9. Inform our support
Upon successful establishment of internet access, the Gateway will register on your HARMON-E account.

Within 24 hrs, the site is ready for you to complete the commissioning of the load management on HARMON-E.
