Get a SIM card
- You have a SIM card in the Mini-SIM (2ff) form factor
- You know the APN settings of your SIM card provider
- You ensured that no SIM lock is setup for this SIM card
To configure the Gateway
- You have a laptop with an Ethernet port and a browser (e.g. Google Chrome)
- You have an Ethernet cable
- Ensure that no other internet connection is present in the LAN
1. Connect your laptop
Connect your laptop to a free port of the LAN switch to which the Gateway is connected.
2. Access the Gateway interface
Open a browser on the laptop and enter the IP address 192.168.1.1:3000 in the address field.
3. Log on to the Gateway Connect
In the login window enter "admin" as the username and as the password, and click login. After entering the username and password, the main configuration menu for the Gateway Connect will open.
4. Configure the network settings
Open the Wireless Network tab on the left.
If you chose PIN verification with your provider, then enter the PIN in the field, otherwise leave it blank.
If required, enter the APN, username, and password for the authentication in your mobile network. You get this information from your mobile service provider. Click SUBMIT.
5. Reboot the Gateway
Disconnect the power supply and wait for 10 seconds. Then reconnect the power supply and check the network status via the LEDs. In case the Gateway does not connect automatically, check your network settings again.
6. Check network status
After turning on the power supply, the Gateway will start the initialization phase, which takes about 5 seconds. LED A and LED B will light up, and the Power LED will remain lit. When LED A and LED B have turned off, the device is ready for operation.
